I joined Arm in January 2025 as a Staff UX Researcher, working on AI and developer platforms. My focus is the developer workflow around machine learning models, from finding and evaluating a model through to getting it running.
What I own
- Research strategy across a product line. Several product areas run in parallel. I set what gets researched, when, and to what standard of evidence.
- End to end studies. Discovery, alpha, beta and live. I frame the question, run the study, and stay with the finding until it changes a decision.
- Quantitative measurement. Multi-wave surveys of AI and ML practitioners, analysed in Python and compared across sub-groups.
- Evaluative sessions on real tasks. Watching engineers work through a task and recording where the experience breaks down.
- Research enablement. Standards, templates and review, so that designers and product managers can run sound tactical research themselves.
How I approach it
Two habits carry across the work. I segment before I summarise, because a single figure for developers hides the differences that matter. And I follow a whole task from start to finish, since the friction usually sits between tools.
I also look at how AI agents can support research operations.
